TECH TIP #104 – CHECK YOUR GROUNDING!

In our world, grounding simply means having the right completion for an electrical circuit. Your vehicle has many different (and often hidden) grounding points. Some clues that might lead you to suspect a bad grounding connection? Maybe you’ve noticed one dim headlight or taillight on your car, or maybe your truck’s electrical system miraculously works better when it’s damp or wet outside. Don’t automatically assume that an electric switch or light bulb is bad, though, without taking the time to inspect all body ground straps and their connections. Everything from voltage regulators to dash clusters needs good grounding connections to function efficiently and effectively.
